ZIPPO x CASE KNIVES
CREATIVE DIRECTION + COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHY + COMMERCIAL VIDEO PRODUCTION
Case Knives and Zippo lighters are long-time American made companies rich with history. Having an opportunity to work with both of these brands was a dream come true for us. We were presented with the challenge of developing a new "look" for both of these brands' outdoor divisions. The challenge? Traveling to a winter wonderland and making a brand film in harsh conditions.
PROJECT: OUTDOORS
The purpose of this project was to refresh Zippo and Case Knives' "Outdoor Division", placing a focus on outdoor survival education, having the right tools for any situation, and introducing a few new signature Case Knives designed by outdoor celebrities Roland "Rockhouse" Welker (Alone, Season 7 winner) and Laramey "Sasquatch" Miller (Last of a Breed and The Trail).
We traveled a 4-man crew to the deep woods of Montana to create multiple cinematic and tutorial based commercials for Zippo and Case. Shown of the left is what we consider our "Director's Cut".
I couldn't be more impressed with the outstanding work ethic and dedication to our project. Their meticulous process and attention to detail ensured a flawless final product that exceeded our expectations. The team's welcoming personalities made the entire collaboration a pleasure from start to finish. I wholeheartedly recommend their services to anyone seeking top-notch creative or media production.

Zippo and Case Knives wanted to find ways to not only entertain but to educate viewers on real world tactics that Laramy and Roland have used in their own long, prosperous careers. This consisted of various "How-To-Series" videos. The personalities of the two stars really shined as the team let THEM choose where and what they were educating the audience on.
DS Creatives Agency was able to provide over 12 finalized videos meeting all of both Case and Zippo's needs. Our work with Zippo can be seen on various television networks like The Outdoor Channel and on Case and Zippo's websites.
